They’ll never see her coming. . .

When Evangeline Stone wakes up naked and bruised on a cold slab at the morgue – in a stranger’s body, with no memory of who she is and how she got there – her troubles are only just beginning. Before that night she and the two other members of her Triad were the city’s star bounty hunters, mercilessly cleansing the city of the murderous creatures living in the shadows, from vampires to shape-shifters to trolls. Then something terrible happened that not only cost all three of them their lives but also convinced the city’s other Hunters that Evy was a traitor – and she can’t even remember what it was.

Now she’s a fugitive, piecing together her memory, trying to deal some serious justice – and discovering that she has only three days to solve her own murder before the reincarnation spell wears off. Because in three days Evy will die again – but this time there’s no second chance. . .

My Personal Review:

Evangeline Stone was a bounty hunter. When the others members of her Triad were killed in an ambush she barely manage to escape. But somehow she died.

Now she came back from the dead with no memory and in the body of someone else. Soon she realizes that she must solve her own murder in order to clear her name and bring justice for her friends.

Fortunately, she can count on her former Handler’s help, and some reliable allies.

On the bright side:

A fast paced story set in a well constructed universe, with appealing characters (even minor characters) and a credible and coherent plotline. It has an unusual description of vampires.

On the flip side:

The male character wasn’t too much  atractive for me. Probably because Evi don’t see him with a romantic interest at first. The death of certain  minor character (an interesting one) is such a pitty! A very obvious traitor and a forced happy ending.

Overall:

Three Days to Dead is a fast paced story with a touch of mystery and romance. Recommended to Paranormal Romance and Urban Fantasy readers alike.

Rating: 3/5
